I was born in West Palm Beach Florida. My family returned to Upstate SC when I was a child, so this area is HOME to me. I am a Veteran of the United States Navy, where I was honorably discharged as a Boatswain Mate First Class. After the Navy, I returned home to the Upstate and then obtained a Criminal Justice degree. I served in law enforcement with Anderson City Police Dept. and Greenville County Sheriff's Office for over 20 years. I obtained my Real Estate Licence in 2015 in order to join my wife, Rita Garner, who was already a seasoned agent. Together we formed The Upstate Garner Group and work with Keller Williams Western Upstate. We are full time agents and our focus is always on our clients best interest.

I have been licensed since 1998. I have consistently been a top producing agent. I have always attributed that to hard work, honesty and truly caring about my clients and customers. To me, helping people find that perfect home or get their home sold is so rewarding. I care about helping find clients that perfect place to call “home”…..not just selling them “something” in order to make a commission. I am comfortable working with buyers and sellers on all levels. I love the gratification of helping someone buy their first home and the thrill of helping someone buy that perfect dream home that they have waited all their life for. On the listing side, I enjoy the process of listing and marketing homes. I work hard for my sellers throughout the process. I was born and raised in Anderson County, in the Upstate of South Carolina. My wife and I met in high school, married in 1979 and have been living the dream ever since. I have 2 wonderful and successful daughters that have given us 3 grandchildren. I spent 37 years in the Finance Sector of Manufacturing and ended my first career as the Controller of a multi-million-dollar operation. My previous career has allowed me to develop some very important skills that carry over into my Real Estate career. These include but not limited to, attention to details, highest level of integrity, loyalty, people skills, negotiating and a very good understanding of how financing works.
